Save Our Service is recruiting on behalf of a respected early learning provider seeking an experienced Childcare Cook to support their busy 99-place centre in North Rocks.
We are looking for a reliable and organised professional who understands the unique nutritional needs of young children and has demonstrated experience working in an early childhood kitchen.
About the Role
This position is responsible for preparing high-quality meals and snacks for up to 99 children while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, allergy management, and kitchen compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0â5 years
Safely manage and accommodate allergies, intolerances, and special dietary requirements
Maintain food safety records and kitchen compliance documentation
Manage stock ordering, storage, and kitchen inventory
Ensure all food preparation areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
Build positive relationships with educators, families, and centre management
To Be Successful You Will Have
Previous experience as a Cook within an Early Childhood Education and Care service
Thorough understanding of children's dietary requirements, allergies, and anaphylaxis management
Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (minimum requirement)
Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and kitchen compliance standards
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Current Working With Children Check (or eligibility to obtain one)
